In this webinar, hosted by the California Agroforestry Network and San Diego State University, Dr. Amy Quandt discussed opportunities and challenges for advancing agroforestry across the West Coast. Amy is an Associate Professor at San Diego State University and Board Chair of the California Agroforestry Network. She is an environmental social scientist whose research focuses on how farmers are using agroforestry to adapt to climate change. In this webinar, Amy shared findings from a recent survey of 114 natural resource professionals across Washington, Oregon, and California. The study was led by the California Agroforestry Network and San Diego State University in collaboration with dozens of valued partners throughout the region. During the webinar, participants explored: • Urgent priorities for agroforestry on the West Coast • Key research gaps and information needs • Barriers to adoption experienced by practitioners and professionals • Resource and technical assistance needs on the ground
